Stella's Kitchen - Eyam

I recently visited Stella's Kitchen during my stay at the Village of Eyam. On Sunday, I ordered a delicious and hearty meal to take away, and then I returned for lunch later in the week. The food is incredible, and Stella and her team are all very friendly and accommodating. It was a delightful experience to sit in their garden and watch the chickens!

A small hidden gem of a restaurant. very friendly and cosy furnishings. wonderful staff and great food. we had the lamb curry, rice and plantains and it was so delicious! will definitely come back. highly recommended.

We spent a very pleasant evening, it was like invited to house someone for a meal, even with a change of money at the end. stella is very welcoming and serves them a plate of what she cooked in the evening. the atmosphere was very relaxed and brings its own alcohol. we had a starter, followed by kokosreis, goat curry, fish curry and a dish mixed bean.

From the road, it's impossible to miss this place. A few signs guide me here, and as I approach the dining terrace, I immediately feel welcomed at Stella's Kitchen. From the moment I arrive, I feel like part of the family—it's cozy and inviting. We dive into some Afro-Caribbean cuisine right in the heart of the Peak District. I order the puffs and West African native rice, which are delightful bites accompanied by smoked squid and crab, seasoned with turmeric and spices that pack a punch. To drink, I opt for sorrel. I also treat myself to a piece of fresh, delicious ginger cake—I'll definitely be coming back for that! The people here are friendly and welcoming.

This place is a hidden gem. Initially prompted to visit having seen a sign in Eyam and was surprised when we arrived and found out it had been on Hairy Bikers as other customers were talking about it. What a hidden gem this place is! The food was 10/10 and the hospitality from Stella is amazing. She is such a lovely, welcoming and friendly lady. The food was authentic and the atmosphere homely. It was the best meal we've had in Eyam and the ginger scones is the best scone I've ever eaten! And the non alcoholic punch tasted like a genuine rum punch! We will definitely be back again!
