On The Border Mexican Grill Cantina Exton

Our waitress Emily was the worst server I’ve had in a long time. She got us our drinks and food, and we never saw her again. We ended up asking another worker for water and our original waitress came over to ask how we were doing and we had to repeat we needed water. She came back with one glass of water for my party of five that all ordered water and all had empty glasses. She should find a new profession because being a waitress definitely isn’t it.

We had a large party, and with really little advance notice, they accommodated us in a large table. From start to finish, the staff was so accommodating and responsive, handling the logistics of our large party and many children in the group so so well. The food was also excellent. Especial kudos to our server Joe who kept everything going with such competence and respect. Really a great night and we’re so appreciative of the service.

Always a fun time, great food and service and all around a family treat always.

Horrible service! Lunch time on a Friday- Waitress disappeared- she seemed annoyed if you asked her a question. She passed our table several times and didn’t acknowledge that we were done! Wasn’t busy at all. Me and another lady from another table were walking around restaurant looking for her- she was in kitchen for long time ?! No manager around. Rice was well done from sitting in warmer- empanadas weren’t fresh. Haven’t ate here in a while and no desire to go back.

Usually the service here has been good and all the staff has been respectful. Unfortunately not this time. After my vegetarian parents asked for vegetarian options the staff became stand off ish. We clarified a few times just to make sure the option did not have any meat as my parents are vegetarians by religion and in our country that upholds religious freedom we were hoping the staff would support our beliefs and customs. Additionally, we understand that our inherent accents can serve as a language barrier at times and wanted to be conscious of this in a gracious manner. Following this we asked for some more red salsa, as any customer does and would, and were met with extreme haste and disrespect. Following that the staff would not talk to us, did not ask how our food was, and did all but toss the salsa and recipient on our table. When I looked at how the staff acted with other customers, the staff was gracious and understanding of their requests (even when they asked for other things in addition to their meal as we had done). It’s unfortunate that people can be so rude to people who are different from the general populace. I had hoped that in 2024 we would have come to a place where people can be understanding and respectful of each other’s customs but this was not seen nor valued today. I have never been left to feel so low life and undervalued. How are we suppose to see each other as humans if we can’t even treat each other like humans. We are no different than anyone else at that restaurant. On the border do better.
