I stayed here once before and had a bad experience (dirty bed sheets and stinking bins outside the doors), but that was back in 2012 and thought I would give them a second chance. I am from melb and because of the COVID situation I have tried to do the right thing by reporting my accommodation as late as possible in changes in the domestic trip. I should fly from melb to wa this morning (jan 1,) but the announcement announced yesterday (hard border in wa) has prevented me from getting to the state. I called the potshot immediately (a week before my stay), but their policy is 14 days cancellation notice to get a refund. I understand that their policy, but in the middle of a pandemic, I would have expected them to be somewhat weak. I called and spoke to a girl to cancel my booking to be told directly, it does not. To avoid any confrontation, I asked myself to discuss with a supervisory officer in the service. ends on the phone to gimm that was extremely rude and was not willing to make compromises. they laughed almost at the situation. she wouldn't even give me a loan so I could postpone my stay. I would have booked again in the next few months, as well as add further dates to my stay. after this extremely disappointing experience, I will never stay in potshot again, as my money is obviously more important to them than to give their guests a positive experience. if they were booked out, and losing the business of my cancellation, I can understand why they wouldn't do it, but I was told it was a quiet period, so I'm getting out of all the experience. They have my $75, but that's all they ever get out of me. I guess they rely on rucksack travelers who will only stay once. I would expect that companies that are trying to attract traveling to support them in 2020 have at least a tiny bit empathy and compassion. I can handle losing my hard earned money, but please potshot when they take care of their mozens, they don't treat them like they treat their bed sheets.
Booked this accommodation as the pictures of the rooms looked spacious and clean. We initially booked the budget standard room, which on the pictures looked a lot bigger and cleaner. We arrived and was placed where the backpackers stay, which wasn’t a big deal but not what we was expecting. Tiny room, tiny bathroom attached to it, floors were absolutely disgusting, grease, dirt and god knows what else all over the walls. The furniture is so dated, the throws and linen they put on the bed was also gross and stained. The room itself was a tad bigger than a donga. We complained as we felt we had been tricked into false advertising. The hotel said sorry for the misinformation and offered us an upgrade at our own expense. This new room was separated from the backpackers lounge, quiet area. Air con in this room was very loud, the window in our room was disgusting, looked like tracks had never been cleaned, dead insects inside and ants coming through from a hole in the wall. Floors were dirty, 2 flat sheets on the bed with one big duvet cover that had no bed sheets over, stained and smelled gross. So we slept cold with just thin sheets on us. Bathroom was clean but grout definitely needed a spray. Disappointing the fact they aren’t servicing due to COVID, as I heard all the other hotels are. Pool area was nice, good bar and good atmosphere although over priced. 2 bar maids having there own private conversation infront of me and my partner as they are pouring our drinks which I found unprofessional. I even payed and said thank you to the lady who served me and she was that focused on her friend and her story she didn’t even acknowledge me. Would not stay here again.
Relaxed outdoor drinks food. Worth a visit on your next restful vacation in Exmouth
We stayed early Sept to 6 nights, and were charged $215 p/n for a Standard King Rm, only to find out the next day they did not service the rooms due to Covid19, I though that was valid, but why still charge $215 p/n for the room. They wan't people to travel our state and spread the money to those that may be having a hard time of it. But don't go overboard with the charges, as much as people want to travel if it's not made attractive enough they won't go, they'll stay in Perth and spend there money here.
First nite in. love the place. couple of young aspiring artists??.Excellent
