Sunrise Pizzeria 2002 - Exmore

I go there for the garnel or clams, because it is convenient to stop there on the way to home from work, the pizza tastes something too salty for me

Ordered a large square pizza. Very thin, most likely frozen pre-made crust. Not a fresh pizza that one expects from a pizzeria. I also ordered a ten pack of bbq wings for 5.00. I received 9. This used to be the best pizza and wing place around. Obviously it has been sold. Will not order from them again.

I will be genuinely honest, my previous review for this place would have been one star if I could. But that was solely from the previous manager of this place. He was very rude and had no empathy. My one star review stood for years telling about how awful he was. The food quality was not great at that time. I'd had many problems with my order that he wouldn't even attempt to fix, which was extremely upsetting when you are paying for food. Instead, you, the customer, would get disrespected.HOWEVER.Recently, this place got new management, new bosses who run the place, and they are amazing. The food quality has changed dramatically since the previous manager, and that is a huge step in the right direction. The service is so much better now since those people got the place. I can now order the same exact foods from the menu I'd tried previously and the quality is now completely different, and it's crazy how much of a difference it is. The cheese is stringy, the chicken is perfect, the salads are fresh. I had actually stopped ordering from here because of that manager before, I would avoid this place like the plague because of bad service. Now, I encourage every local or otherwise who is doing the same, to at least give Sunrise another try.I wouldn't be changing that previous review if I wasn't as truly as impressed as I am. As of writing this review, August 1st, they are still getting a hang of everything and training employees but I can promise you that this place is better than Harvest Diner and the food is great! I recommend their pizza (duh quesadillas, philly cheese steaks, or belly buster fries!

Worst place to eat at! The pizza was soo greasy I had to use 2 napkins to get rid of all the excessive oil on the pizza. Also, The owner is terrible! Yells at his employees and disrespectful. How you gonna lie and say you are “Rated 1 pizza place in Virginia?” Haha! I think you mean the best in Exmore since the are the only pizza place in that area. The only good thing about this place is the one lady that works there. Her name was Dana, she was really nice and helpful.

We order from here on a regular basis. Really good cheesesteak subs and chicken cheesestak subs. Employees always very nice whether you go in or get home delivery. Pizzas are ok too. Definitely not New York style by any means, but for what pizza options we have around here they are better than other options. Usually pretty quick delivery as well...
