The Travellers Rest - Exeter

We had an excellent experience at this restaurant, particularly due to the outstanding service and the many gluten-free options available. After a long hike, we were in the mood for a late lunch or early dinner, and we felt very welcomed upon our arrival. The handmade burgers were delicious and came well-prepared with chips and salad. We had a mix-up with one burger that had Stilton, and they quickly resolved the issue, which made for a very positive experience overall. Thank you! We're definitely looking forward to coming back next time!

First visit and it was really good. looks great. the eating was amazing and I couldn't have any of the three courses we had (because I ate too much really, but it was so good). the staff were really friendly and helpful, they have checked us many times in the evening. fiona (the gaffa, as my man called them) one of them would have been more heavy on the steak pee, but if they don't ask that they don't get. amazing,

We went to a meal yesterday my wife jan and I had a great meal great pub big coworkers. if they want good food and good personal, this is the pub to visit, they can not go wrong. thanks. due for a good meal as always. chris and jan perkins.

We ordered the Black and Blue Garlic Mushrooms, Homemade Thai Chicken Curry served with rice and naan bread, and an 8oz Beef Burger accompanied by skinny fries, salad, coleslaw, and onion rings. All three dishes were outstanding—delicious flavors and beautifully presented. Our dog, Cody, also appreciates the saucer of dog treats and water! The service was friendly and professional. We're so glad we discovered you; you’re now our go-to restaurant on our trips to and from Cornwall. Thank you for a wonderful lunch! xx

Simply superb. We chose this pub restaurant due to curb appel. It 's a beautiful old cottage with plenty of the original beams and atmosphere. I found the staff to be very friendly. I ordered an Otter Ale, I sipped it, looked at it. As I put it back on my table the landlady placed another one in front of me and removed mine. It looked a little cloudy ,she said. I want to ensure you enjoy your ale . Very impressed as I have always had to go to the bar and point it out. It was a refreshing change. We placed our order for or meal, and as always, you hope it will be OK. Our meals promptly arrived and got placed in front of us. The four of us all had different meals and could not belive how much we had. I had Pizza and chips. It was totally home made, with local produce. I have to say that this was simply the best I have ever had outside Italy. My friends wife had the pork. Being that he was formally a chef tried it. He claimed that it was award winning. The slight issue was that the plate had so much. Be warned, the food presented to you is plentiful. I can 't recall any pub restaurant that provides both customer care and amazing food. The next time I 'm in the area, I will truly call in . Thank you all at the Travellers Rest.
