Tea On The Green - Exeter

Went here for breakfast. Recommended by one of the party of three who has stopped for coffee and cake in the afternoon. Can’t fault the friendliness and attentiveness of the staff. The issue was we were expecting something great for the price and got an...average breakfast, certainly not value for money. Warm not hot, the toast was supermarket bread and cold. Usually we have one large and one small English breakfast wherever we go, they only do one size, which turned out to be small but with a larger than average price. Is this usual for city food?

A really nice cafe with lots of gluten free options available. It has a lovely outdoor seating area, perfect for a sunny day.

Hadn’t booked anywhere for lunch and all the chain restaurants were full and not friendly! Turned up at Eat on the Green and we’re seated immediately at a lovely outdoor table in the sunshine. Although they were not able to offer a few items on...the menu the waitress who took our order was so helpful and apologetic about the missing items that it didn’t matter. We all ordered burgers, even though some of our party don’t usually like burgers, and they were delicious. Highly recommend the chicken burger. Huge thank you to the waitress and manager who asked extra questions to make sure the cheese was safe for our pregnant party member. Will definitely return and give the chain restaurants a swerve without thinking next time we are in Exeter.

We had a very tasty light lunch eggs Karlito with lovely cup of tea. We will definitely be back!

Me and my hubby visitd this hidden gem for a breakfast, fancied trying an ulster fry. Service at the restaurant was great, very friendly and polite. Food-delicious! I would definitely recommend this place to anybody.
