We really enjoyed our meal. Craig and the other guy at the bar was great and worked well under pressure. I think the problem here are the customers and patience, there is a small team working and trying hard. Would defiantly return.
Food was very poor and portion size was Very small. Didn't really have anything on the menu left so had to go for the gammon and then didn't have any pineapple,
This is the second time we have had a poor experience in this restaurant. The first time my wife, my son and I, all for an evening meal, ordered with little fuss. When the meals came out, the gammon that my wife had ordered was not cooked properly. The staff very efficiently took the plate away to be re-cooked. My son and I cracked on with eating. My wife waited and waited. My son and I finished our meals and my wife’s food still hadn’t arrived. They had forgotten about her meal. We left without the wife having her meal. We use this place on a regular basis and have lost count how many times we have been there and something is not available on the menu. Today it was bacon for the breakfast that this place is well known for. On arrival there was a sign that read ‘ no bacon, no chicken dinner, no strawberries. We asked to confirm if there was no bacon. Nope, we were told. Ok don’t worry as we didn’t see the point of having breakfast with no bacon. Perhaps letting people know on the website would be a good idea, we politely requested, to be sarcastically told, yep. Then another comment made, not to be so rude, we weren’t being rude, we were making a suggestion, so people wouldn’t travel for your signature breakfast to find out there was no bacon. We were also told that that someone had gone to get bacon. Why didn’t you say that in the first place? We would happily have waited. This used to be such a cracking place to go to, especially for breakfasts, a great meeting place to start your day with friends. When I suggest meeting friends there, they say they would prefer somewhere else. Such a shame. Short staffed and poorly run. We are now sitting in another restaurant eating breakfast with bacon. That has nice staff. And guess what. The place is packed.
Stay at the Premier Inn next door for two nights. So this restaurant uses for dinner. Quality was 100% I had the mixed grill both nights, all cooking to perfection. Would say a big thank you to Paul that he was so helpful in the second night with my team and made sure we had our food. (we worked late and did not know if we were back for the last food order). Will be back.
Classic Brauer Fayre, good value for money and food that we always enjoy from the traditional pub menu with seasonal variations added. The interior is bright, clean modern, the staff is efficient friendly and comfortable just a few minutes drive max from M5 June 29. Can be very busy as early Saturday evenings etc., but if later and away from the groundbreaking peak times, then the waiting times, service and selection of seats can significantly improve. The steak we had was cooked for perfection and the groundless soft drinks are excellent. Be warned of paying and ad parking shared with Premier Inn, fees apply up to 6:00 and the initial session parking fee will be refunded by your food bill, but you need to keep an eye on the time when longer to avoid excessive penalty charges being applied.
