Absurd Bird - Exeter

A group of us went out looking for somewhere to eat that none of us had been to before and having read the menu we thought we’d head in. Food lived up to expectations and the bar staff were lovely. Had a lovely chat with Louis when ordering drinks and he recommended the cocktails which were amazing. Would recommend to anyone.

Booked a table for 4 for my partner birthday (saturday night really good mood throughout (although the toilets were very dark! we sat in a table with a swing seat we thought was very cool! eating was amazing, in vegetarian and there is a good small selection of vegan veggie items. and the garlic rub sweet potato friries

This was our first time visiting Absurd Bird in Exeter and it certainly won’t be our last. Lovely atmosphere, really friendly staff (don’t know the name of our waiter but he was a delight) . Delicious food and competitive prices. Well worth a visit.

We were looking for something healthy to eat near our home and initially hesitated when we saw that the menu was mostly fried with no grilling options. However, a worker informed us that everything could be grilled, so we decided to give it a try. We were pleasantly surprised by the phenomenal taste of the food. It's a mystery why they don't advertise the grilled option on the menu. The restaurant offers fantastic food, friendly and helpful staff, reasonable prices, and a great atmosphere. This place is a must-visit if the menu appeals to you!

Absurd Bird is a go-to spot for us when we're in the mood for chicken! I adore the cozy atmosphere and always make sure to order the deep fried pickles. I was thrilled to see that they have ranch dressing back on the menu. We have been coming here since they opened, and while our experiences have been hit or miss, our visit last night was fantastic! The food was delicious and our server was friendly and attentive.
