Church's Texas Chicken - Evergreen

We stopped here while on a road trip, and it was a disappointing experience. The lady on the intercom was very unhelpful, and the chicken was even worse! It tasted like it had been cooked in the morning and just left to sit around until someone came along to take it. The only reason we didn’t turn back to return it was that we had already driven a bit down the road and were heading on vacation. Overall, it was a bad experience! Service: Takeout.

The restaurant is in terrible condition and definitely needs new ceilings. While the food is decent, the customer service leaves much to be desired. Overall, they could really benefit from a better building.

While I was waiting for my bank to assist me—a call that only took about six minutes—the employee at the counter began serving other customers. Then, I was abruptly yelled at through the window, with the staff member asking in a rude tone if I was still planning to get my food, even after I had informed her that I needed to park and resolve the issue. The employee was a white woman with yellow-blond hair, and this interaction occurred at around 4:00 PM on Thursday, August 3, 2023.

The food is top-notch, earning a perfect score of 5, while the service is equally impressive. However, the atmosphere is more average, rated at a 3. I highly recommend trying the mashed potatoes, frosted honey-butter biscuits, fries, and the 18-piece meal for a satisfying dinner.
