We had a good night out and halal special requests were acknowledged. The sauces and food were separated on request. The only downside is that they did not have a lot of mock-tail options for teetotalers.
Food was great, wine was great, only negative was the bartender who promised to feed me my bucatini, then left me stranded with a fork to fend for myself. Not sure what happened to the service industry but I’d like to see a bartender who follows through when she promises to feed a patron, just sayin.
We came in for Thanksgiving, as they were doing a buffet, and we had people in from out of town. The food was really good and the service was almost perfect. We had 4 kids with us (2 under a year), and they were great with the kids. It was a little pricey per person, but it was a holiday, so totally understandable. Our issue with service was that since it was a buffet, our plates should 've been cleared, but we had a stack of them constantly. The other issue was when our server came to ask about our bill. He basically made us feel like he wanted us to hurry up and leave. He told us, Are you ready for the bill so you can go? It was a little rude, so we all packed up to head out. Other than that, it was a good meal and we look forward to going back for a good meal. Kid-friendliness: They 've got highchairs if needed, and will bring a toddler a drink with a lid and straw.
Everything was very good. Unfortunately nothing was outstanding. At this price, I expected outstanding. I will be slow to return, but if it was on someone else 's dime, I 'd say sure!
This is very pleasant and friendly dinner spot with a casual feel but with just enough elegance it's a place you'd take your parents to. I had the pasta with salmon special and my husband had the fried cauliflower and we split a salad. Good wine list, and husband enjoyed a strong vodka martini. He actually had a second one, which is always a good sign. Sargasso is a solid place, not cutting edge or anything, but I enjoyed it.
