Incredible pizza! My son's first Chicago deep dish. If you visit Northwestern this is a must.

Our first time at the Lou’s location in Evanston. The food (as always) was superb, but what really stood out was the service. We dined here on July 4th and there clearly was more business than staffing. Despite this, our server was gracious, attentive, and made sure we felt taken care of. Highly recommend the Lou Manalti’s in Evanston! Bonus: Great dining al fresco on a Summer’s evening! ?

I am used to eating at a downtown Chicago location of Lou Malnati 's. Perhaps quality of food and service vary location to location. At this location, there were very few people in the restaurant while we were there, but the pizzas took a VERY long time to come out. Atmosphere felt more like a fast food chain rather than a nice family restaurant. The deep dish pizza was about half as deep as normal. We got a thin crust as well, and it wasn 't cut through, so we had to fight for each slice. While I would normally recommend Lou Malnati 's, I sadly wouldn 't recommend this location, even though the location itself is phenomenal.

We had a lovely lunch. The pizzs we ordered were excellent. Not as deep dished as Giodano 's but was very very good. The price for a single serving whole thin crust pizza was $18 (feeds 1.5 person) where as a mid size deep dish can feed 3 person for for $27. Which was a better deal. Here is the but , from the time we ordered online till the time it served was more than one hour. We walked in 30 minutes after we ordered and still waited about 40 minutes. That is why I gave 4 stars. It is way too long to sit there and wait. Unless they told us and say please do not come for another 60 minutes. But then I don 't know how they will accommodate the seating arrangement should there be a line up. So I suggest you do take out.
