Al's Deli - Evanston

This restaurant is a hidden gem. They offer delicious French cuisine, including some of the best soups and sandwiches in town. Everything I tasted was excellent, but the roast beef with blue cheese was outstanding. I highly recommend stopping by.

Al's Deli is definitely a must-visit for anyone feeling hungry! I am a big fan of their fresh salmon with cheese, salad, and tomato sandwiches. Every time I visit, I always order the same thing. My mom loves the kartoffel soup they offer. I brought a friend with me yesterday and he couldn't get enough of the smoked duck sandwich, saying it was incredibly fresh. The lentil soup was also a hit with him. The owner's travel photos on the wall add a nice touch to the place. It seems like he has a talent for photography in addition to running a deli. The customer service is always friendly and welcoming. I prefer when the owner is there personally, as he truly cares about his business, even though I understand that he needs to take breaks sometimes.

I am sad to be far away now! Al's is a staple in Northwestern/Evanston. You won't find a baguette of this quality anywhere else. Every time I visit Evanston, I make sure to get a blue cheese roast beef on a baguette.

Unfortunately, Bob has recently passed away. Just wanted to give a heads up to anyone planning to visit the restaurant.
