Sammy's Restaurant - Evansburg

Not bad food. Have tried a steak sandwich there twice and both times was tough. Good salads though and their pizza is just okay. A little pricey for what you get.

We go to Sammy’s on a regular basis , awesome fresh food and great friendly staff , salads are always fresh and very filling and defo best pizza’s in the area x and there soup is always very good

Our family was attending a hockey tournament down the way in Evansburg, and decided to stop in here from breakfast. The food we had was totally underwhelming and ordinary, and the prices charged were in no way reflective of the quality or flavour of the food. A $14.50 plate of eggs benedict came out with overcooked steamed eggs (they used an egg poacher instead of using a water bath), bland Hollandaise, and industrial deep fried hash brown. The waffles were a little better, but not by much.

I stop by every chance I get. Decent prices and out standing burgers! The menu is quite varied and included pizzas which look good, though I have never tried them. It is a neat old-school road-side diner and worth a visit. Nice clean bathrooms, too.

In May 2022, you place your order at the counter and it is brought to your table. There is a wide variety of options to choose from. The food is decent, with generous portion sizes. The poutine had an excessive amount of oil/grease, so much so that it collected around the edge of the bowl. The lasagna was lacking in flavor, seeming to consist mainly of cheese and tomato sauce. However, both my husband and daughter enjoyed their burgers, with the kids burger being especially large. The service was good and very friendly. The prices were average.
