Panda Express - Eugene

It's always fun to go here for lunch when we're at the mall! It's located right near the children's play area, so it's very convenient. They frequently have coupons in exchange for taking surveys and other specials. Good for the price and lots of variety.

We usually eat here when at the Valley River Mall. The other day, I noticed there was a survey on my receipt. If you complete their short survey you can get a code for a free entree with purchase of one of their two entree dishes. The food is pretty consistent here and they usually hand out samples.

I have given this place 2 chances now both terrible experiences. When I was here, I wanted to order the spring rolls, but she looked at the only ones in the bowl were burned and overcooked. When the cashier asked if I wanted something else, I asked very nicely if they could bring out new spring rolls for me to order as the available badly burned. She didn't tell me, and that was it. I didn't say anything else and I didn't order the reels. Before someone takes, it was several hours before they would close. I didn't arrive minutes before closing. Second experience I ordered a record. Honey Sesame Chicken was over boiled and dry (with 2 totally flimsy burned green beans). Beef and broccoli were only broccoli. There was a little bit of beef in there. Rice was harder than normal. Oh, and there was a single random piece of orange chicken in the middle of rice? Noodles were the only thing that came right. I don't know why this location is such a low standard for quality and customer service, but they do. Panda Express food is not bad, but wow food is baaad.

If this place is not recommended, during the peak season they have no dishes ready. You want you to pay in advance for your order before your boss does it, her chef will begin to make a menu item after about ten orders for this item. So they also want to let you wait, they are not clear if I can?t wait too long and want to cancel my order. Never seen such unprofessional behavior. No one's gonna recommend.

A guy came after me and called the cops to the workers because the lobby was closed and he didn't want to go through the drive thru. Workers were so nice and patient and one of them was very sweet and gave me a free drink and orange chicken (sorry I was a vegetarian. the staff here deserves better and I also think that it should be allowed to accept tips.
