Golden Orient - Eugene

My main complaint is that we ordered our dish spicy and it was served as mild as possible. Either the waitress/owner didn't understand or the food is seriously lacking any real flavor. The fried shrimp were beyond greasy, will not get that again.

We just enjoyed dinner here tonight (3/12/09). First, the fried shrimp appetizer was great, good sauce too. The vegetable fried rice had tons of fresh vegetables (nothing frozen). The family style bean cake (tofu) was hot and delicious with lots of fresh broccoli and snow peas. Everything was served quickly and we had plenty left over. Good location.

I have been going to the Golden Orient for as long as I can remember. It is the best Chinese food around. The best, friendliest service. The women running it are absolutely wonderful and remembered my order, and everyone in my family, every time we visit. I love it!
