Phil's Barbeque - Eufaula

Best bbq in Alabama! We drove through the city on the way back to Florida, stopped for lunch. Had the sampler plate and it was delicious. My only regret is that I didn't get a whole plate of ribs, they were on my head since we came home. 5 stars for Phils bbq!

Excellent BBQ, the ribs are really good, but the chicken is amazing and the sauce is great. The restaurant is super clean!

Bbq was tasty, sauces in the elections varied enough to satisfy each of the 4 of us. A sweet/mild, medium/mustardy and thin hot. Chipd with sauce or chopped without the pre-saucing available. Potato salad was good, non-traditional, stew as well as was beautiful as the okra HOT oh yes. Sweet tea, beautiful and sweet very). The only thing they could do better is to supply real lemon slices instead of 'real lemon' juice. If I hadn't had my Kovid vaccinations, I wouldn't have found myself with the filling area for the sauces or the beverage dispenser, but I did and I did. There was a hand cleaning dispenser near the order counter as you came in. All these anglers on the wall, and local sports heroes know a good Zinderblock building with pig pit smoke from it is a great meal waiting for it. Not even a block from the main drive, turn on the billboard. Can't wait to be back in the area and try the ribs.

I worked in Eufaula for years, but this is the first time I had eaten at Phil. I stole all my mates there. It was on a Saturday. The food came out quickly. I got my tea in my cup before the food was ready. Outstanding grill and sides.

Wonderful family operated place, gracious staff and owners, and dog friendly seating! I had sampled a mustard based sauce in Alabama years ago, craved ever since and this was the best a very local/regional twist on it that is a welcome (and superior imo) to the typical hickory sauce The owner came out to talk, they all gave my dogs attention, i was so excited about sandwich I forgot to take pictures
