The George Inn - Eton United Kingdom

I love that they offer Storm Stout, my favorite brew from W&E Brewery. The atmosphere is relaxed and the location, right in the heart of a touristy area like Eton, means prices will be a bit higher. However, I found it to be well worth the cost for my favorite pint. The staff are courteous, friendly, and go above and beyond. Overall, I would rate the service and location a 5 out of 5.

We came here for Sunday lunch while we were in Windsor for the day with our dog. The bartender welcomed us and our dog warmly, and we were excited for a nice meal. Unfortunately, my husband's roast was not good - the potatoes and vegetables were undercooked and the meat looked unappetizing. My burger was okay, but the fries were not the paprika fries we ordered. The manager who talked to us about returning the food was rude, but a young inexperienced boy was more apologetic and made up for the lacking customer service.

Stayed one night in a single room. The man at the counter was very kind and informative. He answered all the questions I had about the room and the town. The room could be tight if you bring a big carrier. My carrier was about 28 inches big, so I had to place it right next to the door, which could be inconvenient, but everything was fine except that. If I get another chance to be in this town, I am definitely going to book here again. I stayed for one day. The male staff member helped me by looking at the pub on the first floor, and he kindly answered the questions I asked about various things, including the neighborhood. If you bring a large suitcase, it will be difficult to climb the stairs and leave it in the room, but other than that, everything was good. The bed and pillows were nice, and the bathroom was clean. I was a little lost while lugging my suitcase late at night, but I was just wandering because I couldn't find the way down from Eaton Central Station. The route is also good, and I think it would be more convenient if you come from Eaton Riverside Station. I think I will stay here next time I come to this area.

We were looking forward to a roast here today but sadly it never came. We were told there was a 30 min wait when we ordered but after an hour we still had no food. No one came out to apologise or offer a free drink, so we asked for one! After a further 20 mins we gave up and asked for a refund. I'm shocked at how dreadful the customer service was, no one seemed to care, it really spoilt my afternoon.
