The bowl of deliciousness was sufficient for my partner and me!! A win-win for all I got the butter chicken as protein and choose spicy potatoes and basmati rice for the base. There are a variety of options for toppings and sauces all of which are amazing. The girl who fixed my order was very patient and gave her suggestions. She was right that the xxx spicy sauce isn't really that spicy. When we mixed it all in, it felt like we were eating biryani which is our favorite. Getting the lassi was a nice add on. Can't wait to come back. The restaurant is conveniently located close to Islington station. Just a 3 min walk which is pretty great to grab a quick bite. Wishing them much success and hope they open more branches in Toronto!
Amazing spot! Their crunchy bro burger is top notch! Owner went above and beyond in providing excellent service, and also offered complimentary lassi! Pricing is well beyond reasonable. Bro bowl is highly recommended as well.
Tried this place for the first time. Food is great but the best part was customer service. Amneet was her name who helped us out with our first order. She was so humble and helpful. People build places and I must say they have the best people.
This is a quick meal restaurant where they offer bowls, wraps and various sides. I had gone during dinner time on a Tuesday and dined in, was not busy but had constant traffic. The protein included: tandori/chilli chicken, chick pea masala, paneer spinach, Bombay fish, butter chicken, butter paneer, chicken curry and Cali flower.Mixins: dream bean salad, basmati rice, spicy potato's, and quinoa 2.50 extra)Toppings varies but includes corn, coleslaw, pickle, tomato, lettuce, banana peppers and a variety of others. To top everything off you can use from a various sauces, I chose cilantro chutney and spicy sauce.I chose the butter chicken bowl with basmati and spicy potato's. Added fish pakora (8 pieces for $9) and it was yummy. It was a lot of food for me so I took it home but finished my lassi! It was a beautiful and simple space, I really liked it--as well as the concept. Hopefully one day we can see them maybe offer raita?Definitely great choices. I spoke to owners and they explained this was a Montreal based location--I believe there are 7 of them and it focus on offering Indian food with a modern twist!Although a quick food joint the seating area is comfortable. At the front coming in, alongside the main wall is white tile and at the entrance you see the Spice Bro logo! Opposite of that where I had sat by the window adjourned a beautifully custom Toronto-Indian influence mural that was quite beautiful (drawn/painted by Raffi Elli). Towards the back is a patio like interior adorned with wooden panels and fake bush like greens where you can sit. At the very back is a cute hand washing station (where you can wash the reusable straw with Naanmaste too cute! The location was located close to Islington subway station. If you are driving, only street parking which you need to find. Otherwise the walk to and from the station was about 3 minutes.
