St Christopher's Pension - Esztergom

Very rude owner!!! This was probably the worse hotel, I've ever stayed at. The owner was arrogant and speaking in a very rude manner to us. We had paid for 6 days but our very smelly towels were not changed even though we put them in a pile on the floor. Not until, I asked for the towels to be changed, we managed to get clean towels. And I am not kidding you: The towels had an extremely bad smell. Once, when I needed his service, he said he had to eat his lunch, before he could help me. THIS HOTEL IS NOT RECOMMENDABLE AT ALL IF YOU WANT TO BE TREATED KINDLY.

They advertised themselves as almost too quiet , but it was the exact opposite. The building is located between 2 very busy roads with heavy traffic, from one side you can listen to the quests at 8 am having breakfast at the inner garden and on the other side there is the neighbour 's barking dog. Inside the walls are paper thin, you can hear everything from the neighbouring room. And I mean everything! The cleaning lady comes daily, no matter if you don 't need it or if you specifically asked them to don 't come, and touches you personal stuff. (like underwears, pjs etc) When we made a complaint, it was brushed off. We left after the second night (we booked 4), the owner called the police on us because we only wanted to pay for the 2 nights we spent there. He got extremely rude and personal. So unprofessional. Can 't deal with complaints and criticism. Gready, arrogant and condescending. DON 'T WASTE YOUR TIME CONSIDERING TO BOOK!!

They weren't flexible when we needed to storno a room and made us pay for the whole order. They didn't inform us in advance of this conduct. Even when arguing with the police, the owner wouldn't budge one bit. He was rude, aggressive and short tempered, while we were polite and patient. Yet he would still try to convince the authorities of the opposite. They would even refuse us the right of a official complaint. A robber baron is what he was...

We stayed at Szent Kristof for 3 nights. The room was very speculative and clean about every standard! Breakfast was great and staff very friendly and courteous. If in Esztergom it will be safe again.

Cosy room, nice location (5 minutes walk from the cathedral), friendly staff. I only complain that when I asked for dinner, they did not show me the daily menu and the price, but only served what they prepared. The dinner itself was very nice. They should also get a Wi-Fi booster. The WLAN signal in the room is quite weak.
