The Saloon - Estero

Visits the salon with another pair for a rare double date. Nice night to sit on the outside seats. Ordered drinks, apps, dinners and desserts. All were fabulous. The flavors were so good, even unexpected at times. I enjoyed the meat and it was worth every cent. Also the devil eggs... Our server was busy, but very effective. It was a wonderful date night and will visit again for a special occasion. Pros: Portions, service, unique drinks and dishes Cons: Price

This restaurant was excellent. I visited on a weekday at 5:00 and was pleasantly surprised to receive a discount. The steak was delicious.

Once we were finally seated (at the exact reservation time and not a minute earlier), we were greeted by a server who was pleasant. However, he seemed unfamiliar with the menu and prices. The drinks were mediocre and overpriced. The steaks we ordered were overcooked, and my brisket was fatty and unpleasant. I had to request salt, pepper, and ketchup and waited a while for them to be brought to our table. The restaurant was not even busy at that time, as it was only a quarter full inside. I cannot speak for the outdoor seating area. Perhaps the slow service was due to understaffing. I usually read reviews before trying a new place, but I did not make the reservations this time. After reading the reviews later on, I noticed that the restaurant responds to negative feedback by stating that they will inform the manager of the issue. However, we did inform the manager of our dissatisfaction. The bill was confusing, and our server mentioned that everything on the main menu was 50% off. He admitted to making a mistake and suggested that the manager should have honored the discounted prices for us, but she only pointed out that it was posted on the menu. I mentioned that she had walked away. This should have been a learning opportunity, but I do not believe it was. The staff at this restaurant clearly need better training. I would not recommend this restaurant to others as there are similar (and better) dining options available at the same price point, with more attentive servers.

I can't believe this hidden gem is located in such a vibrant area. The chef prepares dishes from appetizers to desserts. The staff is attentive but not intrusive, making it a refreshing change from crowded, overrated, and expensive competitors. I highly recommend it for a special night out or a nice dinner with friends.

Sooo....starts by us trying to place an order but of course cannot locate an app at all to do so. We call as that is the best next step and listen to the message saying hey! We have a special! Order online or through our app and receive a free bottle of wine. Wow! We are excited as we were celebrating as well. So we try to find this app again...no such luck. Call again and transfer after transfer...find out that this was an old promotion. Don't have! Okay. Interesting that it's still on there but okay. I get it. We call back again as we got disconnected to place our order. We ordered 12 wings, plus a petite filet and fries. We are super excited, picked up and started our celebration and we're starving!!! We began to devour the wings until my boyfriend looked at me asking about the wings and how many I had eaten...only to the count the number of wings....nope...not 12. Eight. Eight wings. But I did pay for 12. Receipt shows a $22 charge. Just I dunno ..wow? How many hurdles can you possibly have to get food? I would normally call but honestly was originally so exhausted by the situation. We had dinner here before and honestly enjoyed ourselves which is why we ordered here for our celebration. What a fail. So! If you order food to go, please double check what you ordered and what you end up receiving as you may be charged for more than you get. Disappointed!
