Olive Oyl's Carry Out Cuisine - Essex

This place has an excellent selection of sandwiches. It's not very spacious for dining in, although they do have a few counter chairs. I suppose that's why it's labeled as Carry Out Cuisine.

If you don’t mind spending money on average food, this restaurant could work for you. However, the ice cream has a somewhat watered-down taste.

The dining experience has always been enjoyable here; I've been coming for years. The atmosphere is delightful. However, they no longer provide takeout menus to take home, which I find inconvenient. I either have to check the menu board in the restaurant or look it up online. This isn't ideal if you're trying to order lunch for a group of workers.

Bad business practice that will be closed during the week in summer when people try to come to lunch. regular and tourist are coming to the door and turn off. Just ridiculous.

The food is really good but the woman running the register is a miserable c@nt. She must be the owner because I can?t imagine a place tolerating an employee speaking to customers the way she does. I thought maybe she was just having a bad day the first time I went for breakfast, but then she was even worse today. She?s just not nice. I didn?t have an issue with her personally, but I won?t be back again after the way I witnessed her speak to other customers.
