Strawberry Field (beefeater)

Came in for dinner on a Friday evening, around 6:30pm. Food was INCREDIBLY fast coming out, literally five minutes for starters and then 10 mins for mains. We tried the festive burger for our mains, which was surprisingly lovely, and it was a nice change having roast potatoes and gravy instead of fries. The waitress was very pleasant, even got me some extra bread to go with my pate starter as there wasn’t nearly enough to enjoy all of the pate itself. Only real negative would be the portion size of the burger was shown as a huge stacked burger in the picture and when it came out it was significantly smaller.

Waitress and guy that sat us at our table was really friendly and helpful. Was disappointed at paying £2.80 each for 2 cream sodas to find out it was a barr can that you get in shops for around 59p. The guacamole didn't look fresh and chargrilled vegetables were okay although the broccoli was limp apart from that the food was okay. They had ran out of fish for the fish and chips and if we wanted it we would have to pay extra for haddock... surely if they have run out of a product they should give that rather than charging customers more? As I said tho staff were pleasant and helpful and food okay.

Not great. Menu is limited, thought would be similar to a harvester but personally thought harvester is much better tbh. Prawn cocktail was very basic but edible. The rack of ribs wasn't great and appeared to be a frozen brakes wholesaler type with a bit of sauce on top heated up in the microwave. Service was friendly but quite slow. For the price charged and the competition available there is much better places to eat. Would definitely recommend the harvester in Rayleigh over this particular beefeater as the food there is fresh, is cooked on the grill and the menu is better and priced better as well. I wouldn't chose to return here.

Amazing food and service, All I can say is wow, we ate here as part of the premier Inn meal deal, most meals are included or the more expensive meals are for a small supplement... I had an ultimate mixed grill, was £19.99 and the supplement was £2.99 A drink and dessert or starter is included and a food all you have breakfast £25 per head This place has opened my eyes for robbers... From the minute we were shown on our table, we had impeccable service of Mia The food was cooked for perfection Brad was the cook... Well done and trust me, it's a big part for everyone who's hungry. I would highly recommend this restaurant and hope that my local beef cellar can even come close to this high standard. Both I and my partner had a wonderful meal and are very satisfied with the quality of food and service. A big good made to all employees here When it was so good last night, we decided for a second night here.... Tonight we were served by Laura again impeccable food and service I only wish we lived in the area so that we could enjoy this all year round well done to the entire team. This restaurant is immaculately clean and seems like... Management and department managers must be very proud of all their colleagues.

Very friendly and friendly staff. Food and service was excellent for breakfast and dinner. Varied and inexpensive menu and a model of efficiency at any time. Very recommended.
