The Tavern - Essex Junction

Took an hour to get our food. Fries are cold burgers were charcoal.Mac and cheese was good. Prices are really high. We ordered truffle fries but got regular fries.

This restaurant was GREAT. Lovely indoor and outdoor seating spaces, food and drinks were on point, tons of beers/ciders on tap (and the strawberry lemonade special cocktail was incredible), and live music each night in the summer!

While we dinnerr some work was being done behind us. we had dinner with the sound of the drill behind usno attention to allergies. super long waiting times for 2 burgers and a cheese plateabsolutely incompetent waitress.

Everything was great. We had a wonderful dinner. I recommend the chicken panini and truffle fries from their pub menu.

Service and atmosphere was a knock out of the park! The outdoor patio is really great. Also some nice live music playing later in the evening. While I Enjoyed my New York Sirloin Steak, it was a bit strange with the sauce provided. I’d expect a hotel with a reputation for the culinary arts to let the food speak for itself. Most of the time with red meat, less is more. Loved the use of parsnip ?. Can’t speak highly enough of the waiting staff. They were so helpful.Wheelchair accessibility: All one one floor
