Leap Coffee Roastery - Escondido

I'm incredibly excited that Leap Roastery is so close to my workplace! I've really missed Leap Coffee since their Carlsbad location closed, so I'm thrilled to have access to quality coffee here in Escondido. The coffee is just as fantastic as I expected, and their iced vanilla latte continues to be one of my absolute favorites in North County (shoutout to their house-made vanilla syrup!). The roastery is takeout only, but you don't have to order ahead or online, which is great! They only accept card payments since it’s not a traditional storefront, but the space has a cute and clean vibe, albeit a bit more utilitarian. I will definitely be returning! I also had a lovely conversation with the staff member there and was happy to hear that Leap is thriving in their Santa Fe Springs location.

Leap Coffee is fantastic! My friends introduced me to LP, and I'm so glad they did. The freshness is incredible; you get to pick up the beans just a day after they’ve been roasted. I ordered a 2-pound bag, and I've enjoyed every single cup. It's time to place another order!

What a fantastic hidden gem! The head roaster suggested some Ethiopian beans, and the barista crafted a delightful iced latte while I waited for my car to be serviced nearby. I'm so pleased to have discovered a great roaster so close to home!

A friend recommended this coffee shop to me, so I decided to check it out for the first time today. I ordered a nonfat, no-foam latte. The first one they made had a beautiful design on top, but it was mostly foam and tasted very bitter. The barista kindly remade it for me as I requested, but unfortunately, the coffee was still very bitter. My husband tried it and thought it tasted off as well, so he added half-and-half. When that didn’t help, we tried adding heavy cream, but he still didn’t like it, so we ended up pouring it down the drain. While the atmosphere of the shop was lovely, the coffee unfortunately did not live up to expectations.

I stumbled upon Leap Coffee by chance, and I'm so glad I did! As a small business owner, I always strive to support other local businesses. I ended up purchasing the recommended Sweet Cheeks Espresso beans as gifts for my husband’s and my own clients. I kept two bags for my family: the Sweet Cheeks Espresso Beans and the Santa Barbara Lot Beans. Both are outstanding and have a wonderfully smooth flavor. I use them to make my double shot lattes every morning. We also have the Organic Decaf beans, which my husband loves to enjoy in the evenings. I get my beans from the roaster in Escondido.
