California Avocado Grill - Escondido

Somehow we have lived in Escondido for almost 2 years and never knew about this place! It's fairly small and easy to walk by, but a stop is well worth it. Really great, fresh, and unique vegan food and nice folks. All at a good price.

Wow, the special today at California Homemades really hit the spot! It’s hearty: I couldn’t finish the whole thing. About half way through I was feeling satisfied but kept eating just because of how delicious it was! I still have some left for later.

Amazing breakfast burrito! I got the Cesar wrap last time and it was delicious as well!!!!

After a long flight from the east coast to the west coast, my friend and I were delighted to discover a vegan restaurant. We ordered the root vegetable bisque, Peruvian bean soup, and tomato pesto toast, and everything was EXCELLENT! The service was incredibly fast, and we immediately felt recharged by the delicious, high-quality plant-based food. The atmosphere was charming, and the food was fresh and amazing. The owner was not only knowledgeable about vegan, organic, and healthy options but also very friendly. The prices were reasonable, and street parking was quite convenient. We're definitely planning to return for lunch, and I'll probably take some soup to go!

I'm not a vegan or particularly health-conscious, but the food here is always delicious, and knowing it's good for me just makes it even better!
