The Chateau is down a narrow country lane, but the satnav had no problem finding it and what a joy when we did arrive. After a lovely leisurely lunch we made our way back again, but would love to return. The gentleman who looked after us was French, but very good English and made us very welcome. D
Lunch here never fails to hit the spot. It is the best place for miles around - great food and friendly service delivered in an outstanding setting. The bistro spills out onto the terrace and into the garden depending on the weather and sitting with their great food and delicious wine with the imposing chateau as a backdrop is the essence of the good life. It's worth making a long detour to sample the delights of this wonderful place - happily we stay 10 miles up the road!
Down a minor road, through woods and past the little lake stands the imposing mass of Chateau Buros. Lunch is served in a delightful room next to the main building and sitting in the January sunshine one can imagine the joy of an alfresco lunch in the warmer months of the year. Food lovely, service expert and friendly, a great experience. We had a baby and the first thing that was asked of us: "Do you need anything for the baby warmed up?" A simple friendly but meaningful start to a lovely, lunch.
An excellent lunch - good food and very pleasant and efficient service. The chateau and grounds are lovely too.
Do not rely on your GPS to get there, it is way out of the way in the countryside, but a gem once you get there. The owner could not be more welcoming, friendly and accommodating. The setting is enchanting. We chose the regional plate and were not disappointed, it had a copious sample of the region specialties.
