Chicago Speakeasy In Des Mo

We enjoyed every bit of our visit to the Chicago Speakeasy! On a Friday night, we waited a few minutes and then they got us seated right away. We were seated in a room with many other families and couples dining. We were greeted by Willow and provided drinks and we headed to the salad bar! If you’re in the mood for a salad bar- this this the place! It was a bit clustered at the time because the staff was refilling all of the containers, however, that meant everything was fresh! We then sat and enjoyed our salads along with the most delish mini loaf of bread. Our entrees consisted of Steak Deburgo with garlic mashed potatos and New York Strip with a loaded baked potato. The deburgo sauce is an oil/butter based sauce and it was loaded and incredible. The New York Strip was “like butter” easy to cut into and delicious. This was another great Des Moines gem for us to find. When you go, ask for “Willow” she was truly a fantastic server! She took care of us in a timely fashion and had the best personality. She took time to chat with us and even box up our meal so I could finish enjoying my glass of wine. She was a 10/10 for us! Overall a fantastic experience. We will be back!

Food way over priced. The salad bar is still great, but the main dish needed work.

When I give something five stars you can bet it earned it. It's a bit pricey but worth it and if you like a good salad bar, this is your place!
