There’s a certain charm to this approach; I adore that it invites diners to engage with their meal, choosing and mixing ingredients on their own terms and experimenting with flavor combinations. The natural flavors are subtle, and this concept truly works. However, I feel that when they venture outside of this philosophy, things can become overly muted. For example, I found the yellow split pea curry lacking; it could benefit from bolder flavors for the sake of variety. While the coffee is decent, it doesn’t go beyond that, and the service is rather basic. Despite these shortcomings, Say Caffe deserves credit for clearly labeling their vegan options and offering a substantial range of them. Overall, it’s a place that celebrates simplicity and natural flavors, but could elevate their menu with a few more pronounced tastes.
The dining experience was fantastic, and there are some excellent vegan options available. However, I was a bit disappointed to find that they charge an extra 60 cents for soy milk and an additional dollar for Bonsoy.
I ordered the vegetarian breakfast and opted for gluten-free and vegan options. It arrived quickly and was absolutely delicious! It might be the best cooked vegan breakfast I've ever had!
