South 88 Viet Thai Restaurant - Erin

This place is authentic, made fresh to order and ready in no time. The food tastes delicious and the chef does not mind small changes and customizations...love it!Lunch or dinner you can always find something different to eat. You can dine in or do take out.you got to eat there :)

The people here are the best. The meat can be over cooked and sometimes they don't put peanuts on the Pad Thai, but it tastes ok and it's convenient.

I had high hopes for this Asian restaurant plunked in the heart of Erin, farm country. I am not a picky eater but this was a huge disappointment. The teriyaki had virtually no sauce - just a dry pile of tasteless chicken on a bed of rice. The food was bland and had odd textures to anything I have ever experienced. I am a huge fan of Vietnamese and Thai food but this place was so bad I had to leave most of my lunch on my plate. I am going to try it one more time so I am hoping for the best.

Erin, ON. is not the place I'd expect to find a Viet/Thai joint, and definitely not a good one at that. The fact that they have survived in that location where nothing lasts long is a testament to their friendly service and quality food. There cook should give himself a great big pat on the back. I have eaten there many many times and the quality and taste are ALWAYS spot on, the same every time. I really haven't had anything bad on the menu. I have since moved away and I find myself missing the place. Even with all of the choices I have in Guelph I am still drawn to this place.

Food is always hot, made fresh, wonderful flavours/spices, great service every time, never disappoints! here at least once a week.
