El Canelo Mexican - Erie

This was my first visit. We greeted and seated immediately. Server was prompt in getting our drinks and placing order. Food arrived quickly. On the downside our waiter took forever to return to table and I needed a refill. The entire time we there I think he stopped by twice. I would understand if it were busy but it was not.

Normally this is a decent Mexican restaurant and I have dined in or got take out several times throughout the years. This trip was different. Stood there for 5+ min. Finally after being sat, chips and salsa were brought by man who sat us. We then were ignored. After waiting 20 min with no drinks or food order we left. There are so many other options around. Later I heard they are under new management. What a shame.

Well greeted sat down fast and got our food pretty fast. Food was amazing drinks wer good

Slow service. No A/C so it was very hot. Had to take food to go.

So am I the only one who thinks is an absolute disgrace what they did to the inside of this restaurant?? I mean the place looks nothing like it used to. It used to be filled with so much culture and style now it looks bland and boring.. the food is nothing like it used to be. Soggy. Bland and just not good. The service is very nice they always treat you wonderful there but it’s definitely a shell of what it used to be…
