Highly delighted we both ordered the salmon and dill fishcakes, salad and buttered new potatoes. When served it was one rather sad looking fishcake with carrots, peas, green beans and potatoes. Errrr it stated on the menu salad not dry vegetables with no sauce or anything. Okay the waitress explained that everyone complained they had been given salad (as stated on the menu quite plainly) so they now served it with vegetables instead! The menu lead you to believe you was getting two fishcakes (the s on the end lead to that assumption) there was one what only can be described as a potato cake as there must have been a total of three flakes of salmon in the entire fishcake . Coupled with a whole half a carrot I didn 't want, a spoonful of green beans, rather sorry for themselves garden peas (but absolutely nothing wrong with the new potatoes) a £9.50 dinner that was supposed to be a rare treat was a disaster. Really feel miffed that I paid so much for a potato cake and veg without any type of sauce to take away the dryness. For goodness sake take the salad description off the menu if you have no intention of serving salad! So very disappointed to have simply thrown £9.50 away and so very disappointed in the quality and service on this ocassion.
Plenty of food, plus plenty of flies. Disappointed today and left food due to flies walking over our breakfast. Good value, but needs to sort out fly issue. Tables although clean feel sticky. Will go again to give a chance to them, but not impressed today.
5 of us went to Millies for a milkshake,we was all disappointed, after waiting over 10 minutes for someone to take the order we then had a long wait for the shakes, also was told one flavour wasn't available, The milkshakes came out one by one because they seem to only have 1 blender, they are not one bit thick like creamy milkshakes we were expecting, the salted caramel was sickley, far too much flavouring,it's just semi skimmed milk with a shot of flavouring topped with squirty cream, the last drink to be bought out was our 2 year old's,that was just milk with a crushum shot in it and cream, very boring al Carrot cake was decent, just a shame the shakes were very bog standed
I went to Millie's Coffee shop today. I sat at ta le 5 and waited for about 10 minutes for someone to take my order. There were 4 girls behind the counter just talking and ignoring everything. One of them saw me look at my watch and picked up a pad and came and took my order a large Latte and a toasted tee cake . I then waited for another 10 minutes before the coffee arrived a large cup with half coffee and 50% froth. I had finished the coffee long before the Toasted tea Cake arrived. The tea cake was lukewarm, the butter (2 small warm portions of melted butter and a tiny portion of jam arrived). The verdict service 0 out of 10, quality 1 out of 10 and customer service is non existent and not worthy of marking. A total lack of supervision of young badly trained and and totally uninterested and uncaring staff. Never again.
Thank you to Millie’s coffee shop for the most wonderful baby shower they laid on for us,from games to deco was all done for us. They went above and beyond in our own vip area. The food was great quality and beautifully laid out, I’d expected a simple beige buffet and was gob smacked at what food they’d put on for us, fresh delicious Italian tapas and desserts to die for. On arrival the party had the most wonderful mocktails waiting for them. Thank you to Sam and her Dad for making everything so perfect and to the lovely girl who was the baby bingo caller.
