Makiyaki - Epsom and Ewell

This small and welcoming restaurant offers a variety of noodles, udon, and sushi dishes at reasonable prices. The friendly staff serves generous portions, with crisp and tasty tempura. The noodles and udon were good, but a bit lacking in flavor.

This review is for a takeout order that included prawn tempura, omelette, and sushi. The portion sizes were generous and the delivery time was reasonable. However, the food itself was bland and lacked flavor. There are definitely better dining options in the area that are similarly priced or even cheaper.

I am still waiting for a call from the manager who promised to contact us. We placed an online order for delivery, but after an hour it was still not marked as ready and the delivery time kept getting delayed. They called us to inform that the order was for pickup and not delivery, even though we had not been notified earlier. The food was cold, the staff were impolite, and the manager refused to speak to us, promising to call us back. Despite our attempts to reach out, we have not received any response from them. Cold food and lack of communication from the manager is unacceptable given the price we paid.

An excellent experience. Good food, quick but unhurried and unintrusive service. One of the best thank you.
