The Chinaman - Epping Forest

The food at this restaurant is of high quality. The beef chop suey had large pieces of beef and the fried rice was delicious. Although I was initially hesitant because the building doesn't look great from the outside, the food was absolutely delicious.

This is probably the most bland Chinese food I have ever eaten. The chicken was soggy and tasteless, the pork balls seemed to have been fried in old oil, and even the sweet and sour sauce couldn't cover up the lack of flavor. The only good part was the egg fried rice, but you can't really mess that up, can you?

The food is always good and the employees are polite, but the restaurant's delivery service leaves much to be desired. Management needs to improve urgently as our order was not delivered despite multiple calls and no explanation given. It's disappointing to see such lack of attention to customer service, as it is reflected in the negative reviews. I would not recommend ordering for delivery, especially for special occasions. Focus on improving communication and customer focus to turn around the reviews.

Overpriced and rubbish food the plum sauce was OFF and tasted like a cross between old engine oil and tar the duck was overcooked and dry and everything else was horrible also charged 4.50 for delivery with a minimum of £21 so a complete ripoff do not use this place it is terrible

My wife and I walked into this takeaway restaurant with a large order for 13 people, to celebrate my birthday. They were not phased. They were professional, friendly, helpful and even prepared to advise us to reduce dishes if they thought we had over ordered. They got the order exactly right and delivered it bang on time with courtesy prawn crackers and fortune cookies included! The food was amazing and, as we still have some left over, we will be continuing to enjoy it over the next few days! Thanks and well done guys. We'll be back!
