Blakes - Epping

I played this morning and I have to say the course was in fantastic condition. There were only a few muddy areas, which is impressive for February. The drainage and greens were exactly what you would expect for this time of year. The course offers a nice stretch and has an interesting layout, with three or four par 5s that are achievable in two shots. The members and staff were very friendly. As a member at Woolston, I can honestly say that Blake's course is in much better condition and more playable today. Well done, Blake! It’s superb.

I played at this course over the weekend, and I found it to be in excellent condition. The fairways were well-maintained, and the greens looked great, although they were a bit dry, which made it challenging to stop the ball on them. The course presented some interesting challenges, which made for a fun and enjoyable round. Additionally, the prices were very reasonable compared to other courses in the area.

Great course. since my last visit a few years ago, definitiw has improved. there are some beautiful holes, the 17. is a standout. green were in large shape. its very open, i.e. not many trees and imagine when the wind is up, the cursor becomes much harder. also in the clubhouse.

Played blakes gc many paintings in 2020 and found the green in pretty bad condition. but I just played recently and have noticed that much effort has gone to improve the green and the curs generally and it shows. much better and in a better direction! Hopefully it goes on because I have this inland link course with variety, length and offers a good test for all golfers. my only complicity would be that the club golf attire rules should really enforce. Nobody wants to see jeans trainer. proper clothing and etiquette makes for a more pleasant round in accordance with the tradition of golf

Played here today in 25C sunshine as it has been all week yet the tee boxes were richly green and soft as gym mats. Greens were a bit firmer but in good condition for the weather. A couple of greens needed cutting though and this made judging pace a little tricky. Very nice inland links course well worth the visit especially for the Par 3 8th Island green which made me feel like I was at TPC Sawgrass Island green!! No pro shop here though.
