The night we visited we had rotisserie chicken which was succulent and delicious and accompanied by a delicious side of mashed potato with a dash of garlic. Preceding the chicken was a delicious salad and to follow we had cheese and a scrummy desert. The location is amazing, set on top of a valley in a vineyard, we had a drink in the terrace to kick everything off. It really was a fantastic evening. The food is rustic but refined, excellently put together and surpassed my expectations. Very lovely indeed.
UN enchantement pour les yeux, un cadre spectaculaire, l'accueil et le restaurant est magnifique, les plats sont tres "bucolique", la puree maison est à tomber par terre, un bon moment passé,
Mejanassere is a 'Ferme Auberge ' where a significant proportion of the food and wine served in the restaurant is produced there so the menu consists of what is on offer that day. Our very relaxed lunch lasted about four hours and started with their own...dried sausage and a plate of freshly roasted chestnuts. Following courses included a chicken terrine, a beautifully dressed salad, spit roasted duck with aligot (local potato dish), local cheeses and apple crumble or strawberries in spiced wine. The menu was €33 euros per head and their own very good wine was €17 a bottle. We were offered a table on the terrace outside but we chose to be inside so, because they were very busy we were seated in an upstairs room by ourselves but we had an excellent view of the surrounding countryside and the service was still good.
This is one of the most magical places we visited. it is two or three kilometers from the beautiful village entraygue. it is on a hill overlooking a green valley, with the air filled with the sounds of the landscape. The...original stone structures and adjacent buildings were so sensitively restored. the photos on the website are a very true representation, how magical this place is. a few days the week serve them ingenious lunch or dinner. so much of the products including their beautiful wee, broth and leaves are produced on their farm. when they go into their indoor and outdoor dining room, they often see a sucking owl or guinea pig on the spits. their meal times are real firm of local products. make sure that they taste their spinat / calf frit. all in all, if you want to visit a French hidden gem, this is the place
We have booked a terrace table for the evening spies of the day that has happened as pork. the restaurant and the terrace were fully booked for the evening. all foods are local and usually organic. the meal we had consisted of the following curses: dried sausages, which had been preserved in olive oil, pastete and fresh house, made brot, followed by the best farçu we had (a ha of plumen there was this additional taste,) then we had the roasted pork with a dish of white and red carrots. again had a success dish of fresh green salad with flowers and a beautiful dressing sprinkled. but not her cure, which consisted of 6 cheeses and finally we had a great choice of sweets to choose. they recommend a meal here for a special occasion. the service was super and well flown, the young lady was effortless and charming.
