OMG where to begin? we had several dishes to share: baby scallops in a avocado infusion, warm octopus ceviche, fish ceviche and tuna tiradito- the best ever!!!. This is a foodie heaven. Chef shows his...passion for delivering the best. You can't fail here. A must when visiting Ensenada
Ok, so by now if you have stay in Ensenada for more than two days you have eat at the guerrerense and maybe some restaurant in first street. But now lets start with the less known places in Ensenada and with good seafood and with...prices starting to rise. Good food for meal and the service is great. They have a day menu if you dont know what to order.
THE GOOD: Ambiance, service and all plates with fish. The Bad: Their margarita. The ugly: nothing. We order a fish soup and coconut shrimps, they both were excellent.
The food was so good. we tried the tomaten soup, it was brilliant, with a hauch of smoke. I had the seafood risotto (delicious,) my man the garnelen wonton (fabulös). kudos to the chef.
Based on some reviews, we opted for the restaurant for dinner. the welcome was friendly and personal and the recommendations helpful. The menu was rather too extensiv for our taste as we prefer a smallish menu with all the items prepared at the moment. The waiter was very positive on all the items including two different types of risotto which made us somewhat sceptical. As a chef, I know that you will not prepare a risotto plate for one person, so many of the plates have to be precooked which is not too helpful for the quality. We had one vegarian dish and one fish plate which were well prepared, the "amuse bouche" offered by the house was delicious. The wine list was disappointing as out of the 4 syrah wines, only one was available, despite the many well-known labels mentionned.Overall, a pleasant experience when you restrict yourself to the freshly prepared plates.
