It's a big one that makes you feel at home! if you pass from villarosa to calogero you have to go!

My family came to Villa Rosa to find our relatives and met the beautiful, Maria Crupi and she brought us to Trattoria Bognano and they opened early for us and made the most AMAZING meal!!! We had the Carbonara and it was the most delicious I’ve ever had!!! The owner Mr. Calogero came and greeted us so graciously and his daughter in law, Sonia was a wonderful waitress. It was a beautiful experience!!

We went as part of a group tour and they bought us several courses of lovely food the pasta and pork a particular highlight as was the ice cream at the end. Really worth a visit and it's close to the station museum and roman villa so excellent location for lunch in between the two!

After a morning spent with the wonderful Maria from the police Dept of Villarosa researching geneology of my companions’ family, we asked for a place to eat and were driven here. The owner opened early for us at Mary’s urging and proceeded to order the best meal of our trip! Homemade wine, the most delicate and flavorful spaghetti carbonara we have ever tasted saying a lot after a week eating our way through Italy! We ended the meal feeling like family members, taking photos and exchanging FB info with the owner/chef and staff. If you are in Sicily, a side trip to Villarosa and the lovely Trattoria Bagnanno will result in a delightful surprise we’ll worth the time. Sicilian hospitality and food at its finest. 10 stars!!! They even refuses our tip!
