We like it much better than the larger steak restaurants in Bergen County. The food is every bit as good as the other restaurants, the service is much better and the atmosphere is much more comfortable and relaxed. An added bonus is that their drinks are great too. We highly recommend this restaurant .
Other than feeling rushed, the food is okay nothing to rave about.
This restaurant has the best onion rings! We each had oysters to start. My boyfriend ordered the cowboy steak, which I think should be called the cowgirl. I was concerned he'd be hungry as the steak was small thin. I ordered the veal chop, which was gorgeous, however as I started to eat it, realized it was rare when I had ordered medium. They offered to recook it, but at that point I just took it home. We each had a slice of key lime pie for dessert.
Lovely, quiet restaurant, ideal for conversation. I had the beet salad, one of the specials it was delicious. My date had the Caesar salad, which he said was acceptable. We had the porterhouse for 2, which we order at various restaurants. We felt this one was a bit small, particularly since we ate the entire thing, which never happens. Onion rings were outstanding. We each had the key lime pie. Everything is served on oversized plates.
Hadn't been to Cliffs in over a dozen years but it was one of the few restaurants that had available seating on New Years Eve, so I gave them a shot. I felt kind of rushed as they were probably expecting a surge of customers right after us. I ordered a Cowboy Ribyeye but it did not look like a ribeye at all. It was okay. It had a decent flavor but more than a cut below than premiere steakhouses. Cliffs is okay but if your are a very discerning customer, it's better to go elsewhere.
