Restaurant Schweizerhof - Engelberg

We had a nice evening at the restaurant. The raclette was good, wine even better and the waitress was really thoughtful and knew her thing. Everying went smootly and the atmosphere was warm and cozy.

Saw the menu on their notice board and it was very 'cheese ' oriented. Fondues and raclettes mainly. Popped in and had a peek and liked the look so we decided to eat there on our last night. Good call. I went for Raclette and there was plenty. Lots of cheese, potatoes and a never ending supply of onions, cournichons, tomatoes and other bits. My wife had a Rosti with meat which I also tasted ; 50cl bottles of Fendant (white and Dole (red keeps both people happy. One word of warning the balls of ice cream are quite big. You don 't need 3 unless you 're sharing!

Overall good stay. Rooms dated but staff and views are amazing! The area surrounding is stunning! Some excellent bars and restaurants close by.

Great location, our room was on the top floor, breathtaking views in the morning . Decent Breakfast: Kids enjoy sleeping on the bunk beds.

This is lovely hotel in the beautiful ski village on Engelberg, Switzerland. The rooms were spacious and well appointed. The views are impressive. Sits in the heart of downtown and can walk to everything. They have free parking on site. The staff are professional and friendly. The lobby is expansive and welcoming. The breakfast buffet was nice and plentiful. Highly recommend.
