The Goat - Enfield

Restaurant was just closed as we arrived. Staff allowed us to get take away elsewhere and dine in using their cutlery,crockery and condiments. Fantastic friendly staff. Definitely be coming back to dine. Selling real ale £2.95 per pint on our visit. This review will be updated once we sample food. Been back for food and ti watch Newcastle v Manchester City match. I had cottage pie and it was delicious and very good value for money. I then has to have bread and butter pudding with custard. Yummy yummy and £2.50 per portion. Bargain. The staff continue to be polite and very attentive. Love this pub.

This pub is a treasure in a high street that is awful

After spending the entirety of the '90s in this pub with Mick and Mary, I feel I 'm one of the legitimate reviews that can hold any validation... I went back for the first time in 20 odd years and it broke my heart to see what it 's become. This place was THE place to be, it was full of life, laughter, friendly barstaff and clientele. Now, it 's dark, drab, miserable and seriously lacking anything recognisable of it 's past glory. Gutted.

Food is really nice and a great price. Could do with some weekend entertainment.
