A large white woman profiled me when I entered, treating me as if I didn't belong there. I came in during the day, dressed in work clothes as a professional artist, and felt unjustly judged because of my appearance. If you are Caucasian, it seems you will be treated warmly here, but I would not recommend this place if you want to avoid racial profiling.
I ended up trying a very greasy and tasteless hamburger, which had an oily ring around it and tasted like it was fried in old, rancid oil. The cheese was also greasy and devoid of flavor, almost as if it had been thrown in at the last minute. I managed to take only three bites before tossing it in the trash. The burger was nearly $14, and it was simply inedible. I definitely won’t be returning. There are probably dozens of better burger places within a mile and a half. Management should consider relocating; Shake Shack in Encino was a letdown on every level. On a positive note, the building itself looked quite inviting.
Terrible food. It's honestly embarrassing that a restaurant would serve what they do and label it as food. It was my first visit, and I will never return. How can anyone mess up a hamburger? For a publicly traded company to deliver such subpar food highlights a harsh truth: it’s all about the profits. The idea of serving decent, quality food (even if it comes at a higher price) is just a distant memory. Absolutely disgraceful.
