I would give this place zero stars. It claims to be a taco shop, but it really isn't. The salsa tastes like marinara sauce, and the meat and tortillas are quite unappetizing. I'll be sticking to my usual spots in South Bay for my food.

I've been dining here for over 20 years. It was once called 'Rico's,' but now it's Pavlos! Fortunately, the incredible food remains the same. Their red hot sauce is the best you'll find anywhere! This is a favorite spot for Encinitas locals because they know it's the go-to place for authentic Mexican cuisine!

Pavlos Tacos is the rebirth of Rico 's... same great staff, menu food... just a new name. Pavlos has been and will continue to be our constant go-to for excellent Mexican food.

I have been coming here for years. The owner is a wonderful man who takes pride in serving great food with a smile. I have been friends with the staff for years as well. I love this place, if I could give it more stars I would.Food: 5/5
