The place always feels comfortable and the staff is very nice. Do not miss the appetizers that are great, the Japanese fried chicken is amazing! After that you have a lot of choice, sashimi, rools, special mention of the aale, my favorite. If you dive or pull out, don't hesitate that you won't regret it.
I am not usually one for leaving reviews, but this place is not disappointed. In the afternoon, on a Saturday, on the weekend on the working day, we had a Hankering for Sushi. We showed up at 5:15 without reservations and hope in our hearts for a table, and the restaurant was already quite much booked for the night, with a place outside for us. Despite the heat and humidity, we had an amazing time. The food was fantastic, the quality of sushi for the price was perfect and the beer was nice and cold. Our waiter was great for my partners allergies and gave us some phenomenal recommendations. We will definitely be back for the Grandmakase option! If you? re in consideration of eating here to make sure to try to book a table, you will not be disappointed!
Really authentic experience of someone who lived and worked in Japan for years. Only the best you can do here, from food to staff. Great fun! Make sure you sit at the bar and offer your master a drink. ;
This is my favorite place Sushi. We find the sushi fresh and delicious. The atmosphere is fine. One thing I didn't like was how rude the man behind the counter was to the lady servers. They did the best they could! Don't look good, sir.
Amazing Sushi, but the staff will make you're dining experience worthwhile. If there's a seat at the bar, then I would highly suggest taking it for the full dining experience. They don't have a cocktail menu, so either you're pairing your meal with sake, beer and or wine. As for the sake we went with the bottle of junmai (cold sake) and chased it with Asahi Black. For the appetizers we went with the chicken (tatsutaage) which was cooked to perfection. Also, the mixed shrimp and vegetable tempura which was also delicious and very generous on the portion size. As for the nigiri, which stole the show for me, I would highly reccommend the ONO (wahoo) which is not found often on many menus, kanpachi (amberjack), unagi (freshwater eel), Hamachi (yellowtail) and Uni (they mainly get from Santa Barbara). I rarely come to north county, but I'll be coming more often now that I've discovered this wonderful establishment.
