Champagne French Bakery Café Rancho Santa Fe

I was disappointed, especially for $4.25. I ordered a chocolate croissant this morning while on the go, drawn in by how delicious it looked. Unfortunately, it turned out to be soft and squishy, lacking any crust. While the presentation was lovely, the whole point of a croissant is its flaky texture, and this one simply didn't deliver. I expected better for the price.

I had the French onion soup for lunch, and it was excellent! The service was outstanding, and the outdoor seating was perfect for a sunny Sunday afternoon. I highly recommend trying this place!

My friend and I enjoyed the most delicious lunch inspired by Manager Chantal. This bakery is regularly visited by me and my friends, but today was exceptional, Chantal is professional and a gifted cater. Thanks to Sylvia Lampitt. 7/28/22

Stopped by Champagne Bakery this morning for an espresso. I saw these little beauties in the display case. Yum! But the Jésuite are even more tempting. If you have never had one... a Jésuite is a triangular, flaky pastry filled with frangipane cream and topped with sliced almonds and powdered sugar. They are amazing! Crunchy, flakey, sweet, nutty and similar to an almond croissant, but way better. They also have some of the best Palmiers that I know of in San Diego. On days when I have more time, I enjoy coming here for an omlete or crepes.
