Empire Bay Tavern

I'm not known for writing rave reviews about restaurants on Trip Advisor, despite having written some 200+, but I just have to rave about last night's special at the EBT - swordfish with a clam risotto. Just sublime! Well done the chefs - it was truly outstanding! We hadn't been to the EBT for a while and this was just a low-key social evening with friends. But we were truly impressed. Not only with the food, but with the smiling, helpful staff, slick service and the excellent range of beverages. The venue's new App is impressive too. EBT works hard at marketing, with 2 for the price of one deals on food, free drinks and other promotions which newbies would do well to look out for. But note that mobile reception is terrible in the Pub, so you won't be able to download the App when you get there. Well done everyone - you knocked our socks off!

We've watched this Tavern evolve over the years and it is a very family friendly place with great food and staff. We last visited on an recent afternoon for a drink "in the sun" and we were not disappointed. Lots of locals just relaxing and enjoying themselves. Good prices and atmosphere.

We often have a Friday night out here. It is a great family atmosphere and the food is really good. Could not recommend the venue more.

The tavern has always been a family favourite, being just down the road, the atmosphere is that of a standard bistro, but with better than bistro quality food. The staff are polite and happy to help out at any time. There seems to be a dish for every taste here, all the way from pizza to chicken parma.
