The amuse-bouche was a combination of melon, mushrooms and goat cheese. Very unusual but it tasted great together. The first course was Zander in a peanut sauce. Very delicious. The Angus filet of beef was cooked to perfection and very tender. The chocolate variation as desert was a delight as well. The wine list is fantastic. Service was very friendly. Highly recommendable!
Although located in Emmen outside of Luzern and on a road with very high traffic, the Restaurant Kreuz is an island of tranquility, fantastic food and excellence. We took a 17 minutes drive on bus 53 from the Luzern main station and the Restaurant Kreuz is right next to the stop Emmen Sternen. We had the great opportunity to sit outside in the lovely garden and we enjoyed the great food prepared by Hans-Peter Suter and served by Romaine Stoffel and her team. The seven course menu was a highlight. The amuse bouche consisted of a duo of lake trout, the sea bass and the scallops that followed were excellent and the Angus Beef, served first as tartar and then as ribeye steak, was simply out of this world. A nice selection of local cheese and a variation of strawberries and yoghurt were the end of a wonderful dinner. With every dish Romaine Stoffel served us a glass of wine that perfectly matched the food. She made us discover very nice little wine treasures from Switzerland and Germany.Congratulation to chef Hans-Peter Suter and cheffe de service Romaine Stoffel and their team for a great effort and a very pleasant dining experience. A highly recommendable address!
