Smitty's Place - Elyria

Thanks to smitty’s for excellent service for our EHS class from 1965 Mini-Reunion on 8.13.22 we are looking forward to their visit on their terrace each year. many thanks for providing a fantastic venue, great eating great service. of course we are back!

Great eating, fantastic drinks and service was at point! definitely recommend this restaurant! her cash is the best of all time!

Sit on their parking space, as I write this on 9:39 clock on a Friday night. after the look at their website where it clearly says kitchen closes at 10:00 restaurant closes at 11:00. Woman comes from the kitchen and says we close in 5 minutes. I said that's not what her website says, she said, no, it says we close at 9:45. anyone who wants to go to his website can clearly realize that it does not say that. I guess it's a hired person who wants to decide for the last and a half hours. I can see it when the restaurant closed at 10:00, but it does not close until 11:00, so there is really no excuse for it. moved into the opposite was our first time, it will be our last.

Signs says kitchen closed 8pm due to short staff. Walked in doesn't look short staffed with at least 5 people that I saw . Time was 7:58pm won't take my order cause kitchen closed but it's not 8pm. Don't care who or what you are if you say 8pm I expect to order until 8pm . Don't say you close at 8pm an refuse let people order before 8 . So unprofessional

The bar maid was sufficiently friendly. In between the time of taking my order and getting my check she seem to have no interest to engage me but she would engage all the regulars. The burger was okay didn't seem to have the flavor of the burgers the way I remember them and the sauce was sparse. And the sauce didn't seem to taste the same .
