My husband and I stopped by for lunch at the only Chinese restaurant in Ely a few days ago. We actually thought it would be good, but we were soooo wrong. First off the waitress makes you order at the front desk/table even though you are dining in, as if you are ordering take out? You have come to her to order after you are seated at the table, she doesn't go to you. Secondly the food comes out in Styrofoam TRAYS!!!! OMG!!! WHY??? So bad for the environment! We are dining in, why not serve on real plates? The waitress was friendly but the service was bad. The food was equally bad. There are other restaurants or one grocery store near by!
My wife and I went for the first time Saturday August 26th and didn't stay long enough to get food. It is advertised as a buffet but there was no buffet out, after walking in a lady greeted us and gave us dirty paper menus, after seating ourselves she walked halfway to us and proceeded to talk to us across the room and told us to come to her up front when we were ready to order as if we were in a fast-food place. we ended up leaving because if we are going to pay the prices for Chinese food, we want good service.
Did the Twin Wok Family group B dinner for 2 2 is the minimum and the price for this was $15 per person), and it was more than enough! This combo starts you off with cheese wontons, chicken wings, and egg rolls and they all tasted very fresh and delicious. You also pick a soup, either wonton, egg, or hot and sour and the hot and sour met my expectations and was very flavorful. Next up is your main course and you have plenty to choose from and its a diverse selection. Since there was 2 of us we get a choose 2 main courses and we went with Orange Chicken and General Tao Chicken. The dishes were very very tender and Flavorful. The batter wasn't heavy, very light and crispy. These plates were sauce heavy and was sweet. All this is and they give you a very hefty portion of fried rice. We both couldn't finish it all, honestly this is a portion for 3! Enjoy the food and come hungry!
