My booking scheduled at 7.30pm was cancelled by the restaurant at 7.25pm because of booking by a company. At 7:25, I was driving with my companion for whom it was a surprise. that the resto is interested in a financial return more important than a simple table for 2, I understand it in the absence of appreciating it. What I don't understand is timing! and seeing me offer a drink on the occasion of a next reservation doesn't seem to me enough compensation for a spoiled evening.
