The food is great a lot of shrimp ? the drinks ? is so

On September 9, 2023, I reserved the semi-private section at Hook Reel in Elmwood Park, NJ, to celebrate my husband's 40th birthday. Everything went wonderfully. We decorated the space, and it looked fantastic. We had a party of more than 20 people, along with two servers. The servers were outstanding—patient, efficient, and always checking in. They delivered our food hot and without any mistakes. Everyone in my group was completely satisfied and amazed by the great service at such a reasonable cost. We enjoyed appetizers, dinner, and drinks, and we brought our own cake. The staff and the manager even helped us by bringing it out and joining in to sing Happy Birthday, which overwhelmed my husband with joy. I want to extend a big thank you to the manager, Romeo, for all the accommodations and for having such a fantastic staff that provides exceptional service. A special shout-out to one of our servers, Nicole—you were amazing! And thank you to our second server for dancing with us and being great as well. Hook Reel is truly a gem!

I visited Hook and Reel for lunch, and I was disappointed by how loud the music was—unbelievably loud, in fact. There was only one other table occupied, so it was surprising that the volume was turned up so high. We asked the waitress to lower the music, but she refused. As a result, we decided to leave. I would not recommend dining there.

The staff is extremely friendly, and the food is fresh and delicious. Be sure to check out their specials! For similar dishes, their prices are lower than those of other places I know.

I’ve been to many boils, and hook and reel locations but THIS ONE was phenomenal. Not only was the waiter really attentive but the food was at perfect temperature. I ordered a half pound of shrimp head off and scallops. Often times at boils the shrimp don’t be well cleaned but this one was cleaned to perfection, and texture of the scallops was very good. I highly recommend if you never went to a boil, or a hook and reel or even if you did to try this one out. 5 out of 5Parking: The lot is shared with many places in which services each establishment with many parking spaces.
